Switchboard questions
Why does my breaker keep tripping?
Usually a faulty appliance, a damaged cable, moisture in an outdoor circuit, or an overloaded circuit. Repeated tripping is a warning, not a nuisance — it needs testing.
Should I upgrade my old fuse board?
If you still have ceramic rewireable fuses or no RCD protection, an upgrade is strongly recommended. Modern switchboards cut power in milliseconds during a fault.
How long does a switchboard upgrade take?
Most residential upgrades are completed in a day, with a short planned power outage while the new board is installed and tested.
Do I get certification?
Yes — you receive a Certificate of Compliance and an Electrical Safety Certificate for the completed work.
